A Night Out for Ronald

The first annual Night Out for Ronald Silent Auction will always be a night to remember. On September 21st, Pi Chapter hosted approximately 85 guests for a night full of bidding, food, and RMHC. After many months of planning, it was incredible to watch the venue fill up with guests who all had the same goal: to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities. There was a buzz in the air as friendly competitions took place between families to win various baskets! Several ADPi alumnae were in attendance and made sure to throw diamonds together during their reunion. The venue was full of blue as all current ADPi women wore our Alpha Delta Pi colors.

During the event, we heard from a representative of the Ronald McDonald House of Des Moines. They spoke about the upcoming plans to open a second Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines to take care of families receiving care at Mercy Medical Center. Our chapter president, Alli Theisen, gave a presentation about the accomplishments of Pi Chapter within the last year. She shared highlights from Fall recruitment and showed our guests our Values Showcase video to give them a taste of our chapter and values.

At the end of the night, it was overwhelming to total the money and see that together we had raised $8,069! This is the largest philanthropic contribution that Pi Chapter has raised in a single event and it was only the first year! I am so excited to see this event grow and flourish in the future and so grateful to have been a part of the first year!
