2017: A Year in Review

Alpha Delta Pi’s Iowa State chapter has experienced multiple achievements in 2017, while continuing to uphold strong values of sisterhood.

At Alpha Delta Pi Grand Convention in July, Pi chapter received their award - the Golden Lion. Earlier in the year, at the District Leadership Conference, Pi chapter also earned the Scholarship of Excellence Award. At both events, members of Alpha Delta Pi were in attendance to accept these awards, making the achievements more impactful to our sisterhood.

On campus, Pi chapter continued to set a high standard in the competitive Greek community. In the spring 2017 semester, our chapter earned a cumulative GPA of 3.44, placing first in the community. Pi chapter also had a very successful primary recruitment and initiated 48 new Alpha members.

Alpha Delta Pi continued to support Ronald McDonald House Charities in 2017. Through two successful philanthropies and volunteer trips to the Ronald McDonald House, our sisters were able to impact the families affected by our philanthropy. Pi chapter also supported other causes on campus with the involvement of many members, such as Dance Marathon, Iowa State Blood Drive and Project Jamaica.

The chapter could not have seen the success without the executive team that helped lead to these achievements, especially chapter president Quinn Moran. As 2018 begins, the chapter plans to continue leading the way for other chapters, under the new president Sydney Swanson.
